172 driveshaft

Morning all i wanted to no if anyone can help what is the difference in driverside drive shafts at the moment i got the straight one with out the bracket i put in on couple days late had alook at it and the inner rubber has ripped right open do i need the one with the bracket one since ive had it i have just had the straight one on it

They're the same length. I'm guessing the replacement shaft was a used one.

Basicly mate my one dosnt have a bracket i was told it is an anti torquee shaft but wasnt to sure i put it in and with in couple days the rubber had split but i had the same one since i bought the car i just wonderd if they brought this out to make them better or is it totally the wrong driveshaft i dnt no

Pictures will surely help on this mate, what do you mean by bracket? The half moon part that bolts through the bracket attached to the engine?
