172 Engine/Gearbox mounts lose and tracking always needing resetting?? Help!

Hello, I've owned a 172 Cup and have now got a 172 Sport. Is it me or does the tracking go out quite easily on these cars. Is anyone else have any problems?

Also, it seems that the engine and gearbox mountings seem to loosen up alot. My Cup had done like 65000 and rumbled big time when pulling away in 1st. The Sport is not so bad, has done 48000 and is starting to rumble a bit.

I've left it with a garage today to see if they can tighten up the mounts....Can only put this down to heavy engine with lots of pulling power in a small car...

Any comments or advise would be great. Thanks ))

my steering is out a bit, not by much though. but two of my m8s 172's/182's have the done the same. engine mounts also seam to be non to clever, they have a habit of going wrong.

I just got my car back from it being tracked and it's still pulling off to the right!

It feels a bit more aligned but maybe the steering wheel wasn't kept straight when they realigned the wheels.

Any one else had this problem?

Hi mate where did you get your cars tracking checked? Have you had a look at your tyre pressures?
