172 engine tuning.

I've wanted to my 172 go just a little faster and I've watched this GDI package: http://www.greydevilindustries.com/products/product.asp?id=26
Any of you has knowlage what type of package is this? Promises are enough for me if they can keep up those

Do I need sometihing else to improve power or is that package "all I need"? =)

There a few member have it do a search.

IMO though ring round GDI/Yozzasport/Angelworks for prices and ideas.

Its an all in package but they will be best to advise you.

I ordered and having installed new cams, exhaust manifold and new ecu.. should be around 200bhp..? =)
here is few pics at installation.. it should be done atleast next weeks.. hope so, so I can try it before leading it to drag race

yes I am, it has done cambelt change only 30 000km ago.. so it is not near that changing limit.

I wouldnt re-use the cambelt mate, its not worth it really, just buy a new belt if it had a full kit fit! Will be about £15! When your going to all this trouble it is definately worth it.

Finally!
I have ordered Throttlebodies and new very multi function ecu "Hestec" wich is used in Finland quite much in drifting, tuned and some of rally cars..

I don't know that much of those tb's until I leave car and have those installed.. Tb's are made by Jenveys so I hope it'll be worth it
looking number 230hp and 250Nm

230hp will be achievable I guess but thats about your limit sticking na


250NM is 184.37Ft/lbs so should get near enough to that around 175

Won't 230bhp put strain on the gearbox and cause it to fail prematurely ?

I said those guys who will install those Tb's that if power will go over 230hp, it has to be limited. I use tern 250Nm 'couse I don't know ft/lbs torques

Clios has already changes those cams, new exhausta manifold (from 197) and 2.5" exhaust with sport cat.

They have taken original clio ~220hp and about 225-235Nm of torque so I guess it could be realistic.


I don't know if the gearbox will handle such a torque but I really hope so

My plans ruined emissions nad MDB failure wich this hestec ECU couses..
So I just have to get going with cams, exhaust manifold, exhaust, sport cat.. looking for number ~190bhp.. inlet manifold coming up within some time

What are finish emissions limits? Our ITB kit will pass a UK MOT and i expect it's quite similar

you should get more than 190 with cams aswell
