172 exhaust same as 1.2 ???

Have been looking at aftermarket exhausts both backboxes and cat back systems. I was just wondering if the 172 exhaust is the same as 1.2 ie if i found a 172 exhaust that was direct fit would it still work on my 1.2 without having to modify it
