172 exhaust

had the car 3 days k-tec stealth back box. whilst idling the exhaust clicks (like when engine switched off and cooling down) any ideas?

Is the Back Box Still hot? If so is just moisture and dirty burning off the exhaust. Nothing to worry about. Just were the back box gets so hot.

proberbly as it happens when the car has been used and is idling like at traffic lights etc cant here it from inside only the outside

Well pretty sure thats what it is. Specially if u can only hear it from the outside. Ur k-tec exhaust will probably be getting hotter than a standard exhaust, probably why u can hear it now and not on ur standard. But saying that I can sometimes hear it on mine and i have a standard box. For now anyway.

Its the metal contracting after expanding while warm, most exhausts do this.
