172 Front Bumper/Wings

  Vectra
hi all , just a quick question as am new to all this , am considering making my standard into a rep!
ive been looking around if I where to do this do you need the wings aswell for the bumper to fit?
and also the side indicators what happens with them? do you need to get longer ones or keep original?

oh and also if you can it would be great , could you show some images of you doing the swap and the steps involved or give me a link to somewhere that would show me..

Many Thanks

you need the sport wings. sport arch liners, sport sideskirts. and if you do all that because ur wings are more flared out youll need to space your front wheels out as they will hide inside the arches. :D

Right....so basically a full sport bodykit then , yeah but thats easy spacing them out a will just get some spacers 10 or 15mm spacers :)

i put 25 mm spacers on mine at the weekend. 15mm wont be enough.... plus you want the hubcentric spacers that bolt to the hub..... not the extended bolt ones because there not as safe..... i paid 100 odd quid for a pair of 25 mm eibach spacers. you can get them cheaper off someone on here i dare say in the forsale section. and yes basically you would need the full sport kit. theres a guid on here to fit a sport bumper without sport wings.... but it looks like a bit of a job. requires sanding down and primering. plus i think if you fo down the full sport body kit route itll look way better. :D

yeah exactly! 172 rear bumpers can be picked up for around 50quid depending on where you look but since mine is a 2002 a just need to get an 2004 front bumper from the scrap yard for around 30quid if that!

Mines a Phase 1 Clio that I put the 172 Body kit on, I got it on here off a member for £160 all in (Front, Rear Bumpers, Both Wings, and Side Skirts ) and it took me 5 hours alone to fit the front bumper because the mounting brackets are different under the bonnet in the center....
