172 gearbox removal guide?

  172 Cup
So far I've removed the driveshafts, airbox, battery and ecu. I'm assuming the subframe has to be dropped too. Is this the case? If anyone has a guide on either removing the gearbox or dropping the subframe it would be greatly appreciated.

This is a guide on dropping your subframe

your main consideration IMO is the steering rack.

Leave it on the car and you don't need to worry about PAS hoses so the subframe can come right off.
Leave it connected to the subframe (just undo the pinch bolt - as in guide) Then you have PAS hoses to contend with. That limits how far the frame can come off. Unless you then you unbolting PAS hoses, not a big ask, but you loose the fliud obviously.

hope that helps

there is also a guide for removal of the gearbox iirc. Have a look through.

Oh just noticed your a "forum user". Pay your £5er and then you can see the guides. Worth it
