172 H&R coilovers

Has anyone driven a Trophy and a H&R'd 172? How'd they compare? Currently trying to decide wether to get rid of the 172 for a Trophy, or just go H&R route (I'd miss monaco:eek:). Any experience/opinions. As the 172 stands now, have trendlines, uprated pads/discs.

If the 172 H&R's feel like the 182 ones you will be pleased.

I much preferred the H&R'd 182 I drove over the Trophy.

far more planted than standard 172 set up, better ride height, still fairly comfortable, more grip etc. Not driven a trophy so I can't compare really!

Horses for courses...

H&R's are height adjustable where the Sachs are not.
The Sachs are damper adjustable if you know what you're doing where the H&R's are not.
That's not to say that the H&Rs are really only ideal for lowering because they are far from it.

Difficult really, I've only really driven them both on the road and I can't even decide tbh.

Either way, I don't regret having H&R coilovers on my Cup and 172 Mk1 before that.

Honestly, not worried about ride height at all. Just about handling an ride.

Ask this ? on CT as many have come from 172's & 182's.

I have the opposite dilema, what to swap the trophy for:eek:

The Trophy on wet roads is awesome, i live surrounded by some excellent b roads to test on;)
