172 Headlight Flickering!

My drivers side Headlight is Flickering and keeps going off, Am i just needing new bulbs or is there something else wrong?

I have ordered new bulbs just incase (6k 35w) and will change them anyway, But i here things about the Ballast* units going?

When the bulb is flickering means its on its way out. Mine was doing that last week and I order 8k and it hasn't flicked since.
