172 koni shocks problem any advice!

just fitted some koni shocks to my 172 with a set of -40mm apex springs and the front end bangs as if something is bottoming out when i go over speed bumps etc. i have checked all the fitment etc and all apperars to be fine. they were difficult to get on however as longer than the coilovers which i replaced them for? anyone got any ideas as i am totally lost with it!

do you think the fix to the problem is the knocking thread just below this?
2 washers under the top mount on the strut?

You put all the bushings in place mate? And you assembled them correctly with the tinhats etc in the right fashion?

Just bought Koni Yellows and I have the same problem but only on the left side. Iv got Cooksport Springs and fitted new top mounts and it’s driving me up the wall everything’s fitted correctly.
