172 leather come of seat

Would it be possible to take the leather of a mk1 172 seat and put it on a dynamiques seat. Is it simple or would sewing be involved and that?

they are covers, its actually really easy to do. (well, easyish)

he mk1/mk2 have slightly diffrent seat design (i think)

the mk2 ones have the rear entry handles in the top of the seat.

You are right about the handles. Is that the only difference as these could be cut round

the top seat cover would need cutting so the seat release handle would fit but other than that i think they should fit,cant say ive ever tried it though.cant you get some complete 2nd hand seats because those leather seat covers are very exspensive.

yer im getting 2nd hand jay thanks but dont want to ship the whole seat as it will be very expensive and airbags have gone in the seats anyway. Thought only the handle would be the trouble. Wheres the handle on the mk1 172 then? Is it on the side of the seat so doesnt touch the leather at all

on the side at the bottem.there might be a small hole you would need to patch up.if the seat airbags have gone off then surely it would have ripped through the seat cover.

Was just about to say the same, if the side airbags have gone off the leather will be ripped right down the side.
