172 or 182 for £2.5k?

Hi

I'm new to the ClioSport. I'd like to join the ranks of Clio sport owners. I have £2.5k and would like some recommendations. I'd like a standard car with not too may miles - maybe 60/70k. 172 or 182? I assume newer is better.

Can anyone give me some advice on what to look for, what to avoid and whether my budget/expectations are realistic.

If it was just for an everyday car I would go for a 182 Full Fat. You will get a decent one of those in your budget.

Service history regarding cam belt and dephaser is essential. Its a £500 job to pay someone to do it so take this into account.

Too many people worry about numbers on the dash. Condition is far more important
