There isnt an idle control screw. The idle is ECU controlled via an Idle control valve.

What is the problem with your car?

No problem really bud just a slightly low idle of about 600rpm when warm its not really very lumpy just would like to raise it a little looks like a remap is in order!
Are you a clio sport speacialist do you undertake work or are you an enthusiast?

If so would it be possible to grab your number as there are a few niggles i would like sorting out

600 rpm is slightly low for a warm engine. Before doing anything like a remap, I would remove the throttle body and clean it out with carb cleaner. Also clean the idle control valve.

I am a Renault tech, but have alot of intrest in the sports. Just PM me your "niggles" and I will try and help you out. :)

pretty sure there is a screw on the throttle body on ph1 that determines where the throttle body returns to at idle and can be adjusted with a small allen key. if you look top down at the throttle body whilst in situ, its at the back on the top. turn the black plastic disc by hand and as it returns to idle you'll see the part i mean as it rests against it, ill try find a pic

Apparently changing the position of the screw can really mess things up. The idle control valve is there to modulate how much air the engine gets at idle.

typical, whats problem youve got now? oh and if youve given it a clean make sure you give it a really good greasing. i used spray grease (not the white stuff) and that helped a lot with a sticky throttle which started after it was cleaned.

ignore this just found your other thread
