172 ph1 or 172 cup

Hi I bet this has been asked loads of times,after owning all my fast Vauxhall gte,Gsi,vxr
i just fancy a nice little hot hatch to jump in and thrash on a Sunday lol

so u really do love the look at the phase 1 172 they look great on the road and you don't see them much now,but I also like the 172 cup,what would you say are the best in all round performance,obliviously the cup for handling!!!

I guarantee that the Ph1 will be the more sort after car in a few years time.

I like both. For a track car it wouldn't matter.

But if I was keeping the interior in bits it would have to be the cup.

I think the ph1 interior is dreadful. Even compared to the cup.

I've got both. Cup for me please if I was to choose one. Not a massive amount of difference between one and the other though (except one has a god awful dash)!

honestly, the ph1 just feels more clunky and better built. serious! the ph2 feels flimsy and typically french and not as snappy.

maybe i just had a beast of a couple of ph1s and a rough cup! W533YBD is the best car I've owned - but sadly broken for parts apparently on here!!

My ph-1 was quicker in a straight line, it handled better and overall just felt like it was a more competent car. Personally I think they're the better looking car exterior wise, interiors are horrendous though. lol

Both are great cars & its getting hard to find good ones of both. Cup interior is a bit pikey lol but its the most raw of the bunch so im going to be biast and say go for a cup

I think the ph1 looks a bit meaner but performance wise it is a lottery as the engines can vary quite a bit from car to car.
