172 ph2 inlets and 182 inlets....similarities?

  ITB'd MK1
182 upper will bolt to a 172 but not the other way round. 182 upper has an extra vac pipe barb for the carbon canister, this can be blocked pretty easily to use on a 172 if needed

Is it a large job to swap inlets with matched ones? And does the upper inlet need to be removed to swap spark plugs and HT leads?

It was to swap 182 matched inlets onto a ph2 172 then swap the ph2 172 inlets upper and lower onto the 182.

  182/ 172 Cup
D4nmc, that's odd, I was going to do the exact same thing. Wanted to put my 182 inlet onto my 172 cup and put the cup inlet onto the 182 before I sell it. Only because I was told the rs stamped inlet is the better one ie doesn't need to be matched as already good from new.?

I'm trying to find a guide on how to replace the lower inlet manifold but I've not found one yet. For those of you who have done it, is it difficult?
