172 plugs

hi how many miles before changing plugs 1n a 172 as seems lumpy on tick over or is this normal this is my first renalt as just sold my mgzs180 to get a clio 172 sport

mine were changed by renault at 70k and i changed them at 110k and they were fooked as i had a bad missfire,turns out it was the plugs

Lol, means mines due too, but I knew about that, have been told to use the NGK Platinum Coated ones, is that right!? There 40 bloody quid... lol

I've just posted that ebay link where you can get 4 for £30, thats what you've got to use tough really.

Sorry to butt in and if my question sounds silly :)

But what do you mean by lumpy tickover ?
hi just seems abit lumpy on tic over like its got a small missfire but car runs fine and goes well seems like its ticking over too low but you carnt adjust tic over on these cars .gunna do plugs so then i now there ok

changed mine at 57,000 were shot, still a bit lumpy on tickover think its to do with the tight emissions.

Can get 4xNGK PFR6E-10 off the 'bay for about 30 sheets, they're about £15 each from the stealers iirc.

Think that was the seller I had mine from.

Are these definately the correct plugs? I think I need to change mine as my is a bit lumpy @ 52k, plus for £30 it's not exactly an expensive job.

How can you tell if your sparks are knacketed?

Yes they are 100% the correct plugs.
