Hi

I am new to this forum so please bear with me cos im sure this has been asked before!?

When revving hard there seems to be an intermittant rattle or buzzing coming from behind the dash.

WTF is it?

Mine is an 02 phase 2.

hi,

it seems to come on at about 3500ish. It seems that it is deffo from inside?

Another thing, what is this 4k exhaust rattle that everyone talks about? Same thing?

its the sh*te build quality mate you soon get used to it, or just turn your stereo up. Its probably either the tweeters in the dash or rattling from the badly fitting glove box, i also have a buzz that comes from somehwere in the centre consol.

Im down to one rattle at the moment, coming from the ESP button surround so not doing too bad

Lol !! ^^ After a 100 odd mile round trip through the peaks, my 172 now has 14 seperate rattles and squeaks that appear/disappear at various combinations of temperature and engine speed. Renault will have to make something pretty special for me to ever buy another ( unless their build quality improves of course) .... However, in my cars defense, the 100 or so miles I did at the weekend were the most fun Ive ever had behind the wheel!!
