172 rear seats

yeah they are exactly the same seats and interchangeable with the other clio seats

Dead easy to swap them over, well until it comes to the bolt holding them down in the middle,i had to weld a bolt with 2 nuts onto it just so i could turn it cause the wee star in the middle turned into a nice wee circle!!

why didn't you just use a 17mm spanner/socket

Yeah was wondering that! Since you can use both. ClioLane get some wd40 on the bolts before you attempt it I remember Mike saying it was pretty stiff. I never had any problems with mine!

mines were solid too - even with wd40.

that support bar at the back of the seats was a nightmare to get off - snapped one of them bolts in half.... :o

Tried using a 17mm socket but it still wouldnt budge, even tried hammering a 16mm socket on and that did'nt work either since it was solid,so welding the bolt was the only option i had left!

Everything else came off easily enough, just that last bolt

the 2 bolts on the bash bar thingy were solid on mine too, because they are exposed to the elements underneath (cheers reno) I spray loads of wd on them and left them for 20 mins or so, a lot of squeaky half turns later they finally come out, wirebrushed and cleaned them before putting them back in.
