172 Seats

So i got my ph2 172, the driver seat feels really weird. Firstly it rocks and feels quite unsteady. secondly it feels like there is somethign digging in my back, like the seat is fudged or something. Hard to describe really, but i can't remember the ph1 seats being like that? Also can't seem to get the driving position right at all, whilst my feet are the correct distance to the pedals, i can barely reach the gearstick, wtf.

So the question is, are they all like that, or should i try and find another seat to replace it. The other choice would be to get some buckets, but its probably out of my budget.

It probably shouldn't rock...

But the steering wheel is too far forward unless you sit bolt upright IIRC.

Shouldn't be like that. I'd try unhooking the material of the back of the seat and have a look/reach up into the seat and see what's wrong. Sounds like something has snapped, either the lumbar bar-thing, or one of the cables; not really sure. Driving position is fine for me, I think.. don't get much chance to drive it these days.

Edit: Yeah I do actually drive almost upright, either that or one notch back iirc.

Fiddle with the little wheel on the left hand side of the seat that may make the lumber support a bit more comfortable!!

tried the lumber, its turned right down.

How does it rock? Pivoting around the base, or forward and backward along the sliders? I'm guessing that one of the cables is probably slack or snapped.

If all else fails I have a spare set of front Cup seats that you can have for cheap until you figure something out dude.
