172 sport window wiper problem

Hey. I have recently bought my sport! over the last week i have noticed that the front window wiper is coming off the windscreen and hitting the top of the passenger door.Only when i get to more than 40mph, i've tried tightening it up but it hasnt worked. Any ideas?:S

take a picture of it when not operating. I think it's bolted in incorrectly or there's some problem with the wiper linkage.

Is it fitted on wrong. It may have been removed to replace the windscreen washer reservoir pump and not put back on properly.

cheers guys. ill have a look when i get a chance. The actual wiper arm seems to be very loose as well!

New nut required, might be stripped.
