172 Standard Alarm?

Just searching through some old treads about this, and noticed that imported 172's had a sigma alarm on a seperate fob?

Well.. i own a 02 172, and it has a cobra alarm, on a seperate fob.. and also an electronic cobra key, with a socket inside the car next to the dash light dimmer.

Ive never used the key, dont really understand its use.

Anybody know what its for?

Imports don't have any alarms fitted there always aftermarket you can find some with Toads some with cobras etc just whatever the owners wanted if they wanted one that is fitted.
