172 Standard Springs

I've just bought a clio 172 cup and i'm really pleased with the car, but the car has been lowered by 30mm on a set of lowering springs by the previous owner, which has made the car a bit too stiff. Can anyone tell me whether i can put a set of standard 172/182 springs or whether i need to find a set of 172/182 cup springs too put the car back to how it should ride.
If they do have to be a Cup springsis then visually a way of telling them part from the standard 172/182 springs (i dont want to buy the wrong set off of ebay)
Alternatively if anyone has the right springs im after and wants a set of 30mm lowering springs then i'd gladly swap/ or buy them off of them.

Thanks for any help in advance

What make are they you have on, you will need proper Cup springs! they have a yellow and white dot on them ;)

The springs that are on it are K-tec lowering ones, 30mm according to there website.

So what are the exact differences then? i guess uprated spring rate and maybe lower than the standard 172?

I've just been offered a set of 182 cup pack springs which i am really tempted by. Does anyone know if these springs will be the same as the 172 cup and i guess i just need to look out for the yellow and white dot.

i think the 182Cup springs are red/white - they're a different length anyway

new springs are silly money from Renault; unless you can pick up a s/h set, i'd be tempted by the Eibachs that people mention on here - i think there is more than one Eibach option though (?), so search for opinion

not necessarily - just have different spring rates/ride height. i couldn't tell you what practical difference there is

ok mate, well i think i'll give the 182 cup springs ago. If you see a clio cup kangarooing down the road it maybe be mine!
