172 starting trouble help needed

When I go to start my 172 it turns over but won't fire up, then I turn it all off try again and it starts straight away, has anyone got any ideas please

Same problem with mine at the minute, I've got no idea what it is.

​Its just one thing after another with it recently FFS!

Crank shaft sensor might need a clean.

My 182 has started to do this. started other day when the SERV & ESP light came on. Not had chance to look at the brake peddle switch yet but cant see how that would cause car not to start first time.

iv had the same problem with mine for ages now ,finaly got it sorted ,it was down to the key got a new one from renotech in northallerton. now its perfect,other than needing the belts changed again!!
cost 170 quid tho for one key!!
