172 Trip Computer

  RenaultSport Clio 172
Hiya

Got me an '02 plate 172 and it's sooo bloody annoying that the trip comp always displays the total mileage on startup and then I have to manually change it to, say, miles left in tank every time I restart her.

Any way to change the default? I'd look in the manual but she's an import so it's in Dutch!

Ta
:D

EDIT: Typo...

Even it is a Dutch import it would have originally come with an English manual . I dont really see what the problem is with it displaying how many miles its done as default rather than miles left in the tank .

You could try phoning Renault UK customer services and ask if they have any old manuals knocking about or try a local dealership ,but the dealers will probably charge you .

Also check out ebay . This one covers the clio same as every owner gets , plus there is a smaller separate one that covers the RS models .

  Trophy No. 440
Geen is er niet om het even welke manier om het te veranderen

(That is Dutch for: No, there isn't any way to change it)

it's really hard working pressing the stalk a couple of times, I often get brusied finger tips and they've gone shiny from so much pressing. Got cramp doing it yesterday.

Just got my self a 172 and mine does the same but i cant seem to get it to change. I have tried pressing it quite hard, Its only a button at the end of the day. You said about brusied fingers??

Is it hard to press if so ill put more force on it but i think mine might be bust.
