172 Trip Computer

My computer keep reseting itself nearly everytime i start the car, so i loose my average MPG, trip2 etc, really annoying. im not accidently pressing any buttons it just resets? help

Hi mate, I had the same problem. A guy told me on here to replace the battery. Though to myself 'that wont work'! It did though!!!! Its because the battery you have must be old and doesnt have enough power to store the memory. Honestly get a battery mate.

its either the battery or a bad earth

if your battery is good clean the earth terminal to the battery and ensure it is connected to the body well

A few have ben changed under Renault warently as the units were faulty.
Check the wiring though.

mine is the same also.

It works for the whole trip but when i get up in the morning its back to 0.00 shame the milage dosnt else my car would ahve done 50miles rather than 50,000

mine must be a earth problem as when i break my rear foglight icon comes on so most probbably all conected.
