172 tyres on 182 wheels

just a quick one,...........
will standard 16" 172 tyres fit on 182 anthrachite alloys?
any help wanted!!

what width are the 172 and 182 wheels?

yes they will only difference is the width, the 182 runs 205s the 172 runs 195 so the tyre walls will sit more like this / \ than | |

no, its only a minor difference in tyre width so it will be fine

its only a 10mm difference, ie 5% difference or thereabouts?
