172 vs 182

i was told the only differance is the manifold and cat. im just talking bhp as i already have the 182 suspension on my 172.

the manifold inlets are different , the 182 cat is bigger too .

Yep exhaust manifold and the whole exhaust system plus the remap.

oh, i didnt know that, if i bought a 182 mainifold and cat, how will that effect it ?

the 182 manifold gives you more mid range power .

if your using the 182 4-2-1 exaust manifold you have to make an cat to fit eithercut the 182 one up to make it match to the 172 rear exhaust system or get some pipe to fit.

you cant fit the 182 manifold without a link pipe or compatible cat to the 172 system , i've got the ktec sports cat which is a direct match , expensive though

get a decat , edde knows of a link pipe to get them all together , also try fredyozzasport and put up a wanted request for the link pipe to the 182 manifold /decat for a 172

o.k got a guy today up for the challange but he custom makes the lot, sadly he uses powerflow backboxes. now, i have heard they are basically s**t. any ones in put on backboxes, eg names, sizes, twin, single????
what makes a nice purr, nothing like those sad boy racers?

Try K-Tec you can get either a sports cat or decat pipe to link the 182 manifold to the 172 cat back system.
