172 vs MG TF

Had a tussle with an MG TF last night. the guy driving looked like a right nonce, clearly loved himself. I was pulling away from it pretty nicely, just wondering what spec they are?

there shite, my sister had one, and ive driven it a few times. They are not in the same league. And hers was an xpower one aswell.

Yeah it did seem to be pretty crap. It sounded ok, but that was it. He couldn't keep up. Saw an mk4 R32 the other day, they are well nice. Didn't bother having a race though, he was expecting one as he ragged it off at the traffic lights.

There are two main culprits. The TF bog standard is nothing special 120 bhp or around that, but the Trophy and VVC versions have 160 and will be on your tail with almost identical stats to a 172/182.

The Trophy was an MGF not TF however. They normally have an extra badge on the back and make up for the slight drop in BHP from the wieght and mid engine.
