172 - What type of coolant ?

After five mins of searching I still haven't found a definitive answer.

What type of coolant should I use in my 172 when I refit the engine and gearbox ?

I have heard its Renault Type D I need.
Unsure of spec this is though.

Wouldn't the Halfrauds, Comma etc suffice if the system is flushed of the original coolant.
My local Renault dealer has closed down and I'd have to travel over an hour (60 plus miles) to get coolant

TYpe D is what you're supposed to use. I've used Motul Inguel Expert for a couple of years without issue though.

Use Genuine Type D only.

A fair chunk of that £18 is postage.

just pop in to your local renault dealer (if you have one) and buy a tub them directly?
