172 wheels on a non sport

hi all i have put some 172 wheels on my mk2 ph2 non sport but they were rubbing on the rear suspension so i have now put some 5mm spacers on the rear but they are still rubing on the plastic and they are allso rubbing on the front when you chuck it round a corner

the tyres are 195/45 16 has any one ellse had these problems

They shouldn't be rubbing on the rears, little clearance yes but as they don't rotate it isn't a problem, the fronts will need 5mm spacers.

yes, mine rubbed, then spacered them and they are now fine (15mm spacers).

is your car lowered?

Yeah its lowerd 35mm but 5mm seams to have done it
