172 - which induction kit or panel filter?

Hey guys, recently got my 2002 172, was thinking for going for an induction fit or filter for an increase in performance.

After something reliable which wont cause any problems. I was considering the viper but don't know if iam just paying for the name.

Any reccomendations on what i should go for and what brand??

Get an ITG panel filter.

Ive got a viper and tbh the noise is the only plus point.

Original airbox + ITG going in this week

Panel filter everytime, I did a bit of testing for an Inuction Kit Manufacture earlier last year, fitted the cone filter and we played around with ducting and heat shielding.

In every different secaniro the car lost power in comparrison to the running a Panel filter.

With my K&N Panel filter my car has been R&R at 181.7BHP at Fly which for a standard 182 Trophy is spot on.

Running the filter the car was R&R on the same day at 175.4BHP IIRC the best result we had all day with the filter in Place was 178.7BHP (all at the fly) This was with two CAF running from the grille and the fog light straight on the the filter and the filter relocated down in behind the headlamp with a heatshield bodged around the ECU Cage.

The sound was awsome but tbh i prefer performance rather than sound.
