172 Wont start in cold Weather

this only seems to be an issue when its cold and can be intermittent. The car will not turn over at all. Turning the key does nothing. I have to wiggle the wiring going to the starter motor then it tends to start. Sound Just a bad connection or could it be something else? It doesn't do it when its not cold

check terminal on the excitor wire.

As above.. thats what mine was years ago. Renewed the spade connection and been perfect everytime (no delay or hesitation)

thanks guys. Il check the wiring. Engine has been out in the past so wouldn't be surprised if it could be related

I disconnected the small terminal from the starter solenoid and played around with the wiring so seems to have fixed the issue. Thanks for your help ?
