172 WONT START

  172
I need ur sugestions.
Started fine after work, left car for bout hour and half, and it wont start. Ignition lights were dim and flashing when trying to start, asumed battery is flat. Have tried jump starting, got it turning over but still wont start.
Is there anything that has to be done after battery has been flat?
And any ideas why it could have died suddenly??

If the battery has gone open circuit and is seriously knackered then sometimes not even a jump start will do it. Maybe try charging the battery, or buy a new one and fit it first, when/if it starts check the alternator charge rate!

Plan is to get a new battery in the mornin n try that. Is there any procedure for reseting the imobiliser, when it was cranking seemed like it should have started.

I know when I had to jump my old clio after the battery had gone flat that the immobiliser played around. As Adam0o has said, is the immobiliser light going out?

Got it sorted today. Ive put a new battery on and its fine now, think it was the original battery fitted.
After fitting the battery I put ignition on and imobiliser light didnt go out, turned it off and back on, light went out and started.
