172cup more insurance than 172!

  Remapped derv Golf

Of maybe its because the Cup doesnt look like a 1.2 to the untrained eye

;)

Proberbly because of all the claims people are making on Cups!

my insurance company said the cup was a 17 and the 172 was a 16, but everyone else tells me that I am wrong when I say that.

funny thing is i just put in my number plate. i was just about to purchase my insurance and saw it said 172.sport.2.0 and i couldnt see the word cup. didnt know whether they just didnt have it, so i went and manually entered the details and the cup was there.... + £30-40

Lack side airbags might have something to do with it.

Airbags are gay. You should have an option to switch them all off. As soon as the car has a small bump youve got pointless bloody airbags going off all over the place and they cost an arm and a leg to replace and reset. I have no doubt that the introduction of all round airbags has resulted in an increase in the average claim cost.

Airbags do not deploy if the car has a "small" bump!!
