172FF OIL PRESSURE SWITCH

Does anyone know where the oil pressure switch is on a 2002 172 FF ?

And what thread of the oil pressure sensor is ?

I.e 1/4 NPT, 1/2 UNF Etc etc

Ive got my old oil pressure sender in my tool box I'll dig it out and measure it!

How to you measure threads? do you include the threads or ????

yeh include thread, you'll need a pitch gauge, though to be honest the pitch is pretty much standard depending on the dia. Though if its NPT or UNF it isn't really going to help measureing in metric unless you've got a Zeus book or similar

I was on e bay earlier having a look for oil temp and pressure gauges.

I think i came across a sandwich plate thing that the oil filter screws into .

The only thing is what thread is the oil filter ?

So i can order correct one ?

But think i'd be cheaper going to my local hydraulics place/shop (Like Stauff or Parker etc) to get the fittings..

As i don't want to take my oil pressure switch out the run a die down it for the size and lose my oil

And i have no thread combs for that size

I'd call My local Renault Dealer parts dept and ask hem the thread but there quite useless

Take the switch out, you won't loose much Oil, then get the thread merasured on the switch

Bump, does anyone know where the oil pressure switch is ?

Is it the sensor with the wire going into it and has green on it ?

And does anyone know where the oil level sensor is ?

The reason i'm asking, the sandwich plate i bought will fit in place but the m20 - 1x5 male female adaptor they gave me to fix the sandwich plate into place using the original oil filters threads is too short (meaning with the sandwich plate is no good

So i was gonna go to my local hydraulics place and buy a t piece and tap into my oil pressure switch for my oil pressure gauge and tap into my oil level sensor for the oil temperature gauge
