172mk2 vs 182

18s on a 172 or 182 would = w**k drive/handling. 17s dont do it any favours and 18s would be even worse. If you want to be rollin on dubs buy an old beemer and shove 22" chromes under the arches, dont FFS do it on a clio though.

If you want to moisten young car slags gussets down maccys then big "rimz" are a must but if you'd rather your car didnt handle like a hippo on a skateboard stick to 16s.

He wasnt racing you. Ive seen a 330 nail it, even the 330cd is an awesome piece of kit. A 182 with 18's would have been a train stop behind if he was.

trust me he was raceing we came round the roundboat and down the stright side by side and when the clio hit 5RPM THE CLIO STANDATED TO PULL AWAY FRM THE BEEMER AND HE CAN DRIVE 2.

I'm changing to a Clio because my current car has an image problem, and the owners club is going down the pan with versus threads, and 'silly' tales

Seems there's no escaping it! :(

well my brother used to have a 330ci (about 80k on it) and we had a play in my 182 upto about 80mph and there was nothing in it, he wasnt catching and I wasnt pulling away, by the way they are both standard

I would go for the 182 personally as i just bought one, they're newer warrantied, and a bit quicker, and if you can find a cup version as you won't need to play witht he suspension, mine sticks to the road like glue!

The 182 in 2yrs will have a better residual value to yourself when you come to sell.Take the plunge and go for it
