17inch alloys

can anyone tell me if 17inch alloys will fit on a mk2 clio without any rubbing etc.

some guy had 17's with 205/40/17 tyres iirc, lowered 80mm so he had to take the arch liners out it was so low lol

Wont 17s really reduce the ride comfort though?
It's common for clios to knock on full lock with standard rims, so i think 17s will cause even more problems?....

just put a set of 17"wheels on my phase 1 172 and its seems fine so far!

mine was lowerd 40- 60mm cnt remember which 1 and didnt rub with 17's did take the arch liners out though.
