182 0-60 in 6.2?

  MCS R56
No way 6.2. Bollox for a standard 182 to achieve this. 7 is more accurate. A decent driver in a V6 might achieve 6.2.

i've seen 6.2 - 7.1 for a stock 182. really depens on the mag.

6.9 seems to be the most common tho.

6.2 sounds off.

I know the road tester in question, they use a VBOX (google it) and do several runs.

Autocar wont print b****cks. Evo/Autoexpress had the same press RB 182 it was a very quick example but totally stock.

  172 cup
My cup i think is a good one and aint completely std but nothing that would increase performance i dont think.

Mine is on 50k exactly
Viper with CAF
Full stainless system

Ive had on timed runs 6.48- 7.2

Its all on the conditions and gear changes if you ask me, i mean even slightly wet will make a huge difference

Most magazine tests I've seen quoted 7 or very high 6s for the 172. For the same weight vehicle it takes 27% more power to do a 0-60 time of 6.2 than of 7.0. Ie, if a 172 did it in 7.0, it'd have to have 219 ps to do it in 6.2.

Autocars timing has been the industry standard for years now. Cant believe how people argue so much over a few tenths. 6.2 / 6.9 is pretty much the same thing in the real world.

How many of you do 0-60 starts daily?

What sort of rubbish is that!

You are assuming the quoted figures are correct in the first place!
Gearing, levels of grip and of course the driver in question all come into play, plus we arent talking about a 172.

Couple that to the fact that the older datron timing gear used when the 172 was out isnt as accurate.

Does this mean a Veyron can possibly do a 0-60 in 1.8 secs? The only way I will believe 6.2 for a standard 182 is if I see it happening.
