182 accelerator problem??

I was driving down the motorway earlier and a light came on the dash (looks like a heartbeat) along with the traction control light, pulled in and the car was reving up and down by itself.

Any ideas, im thinking throttle position sensor, so a new pedal is needed.

Not a clue what your on about?
If you mean the Engine Management light flashing then u have a problem, ive never seen a 'heartbeat' light on mine.
Does the car drive ok?
Is the only issue it reving up and down?
