182 alarm

this is beginning to bug me, asked at the garage yesterday when i picked the car up whether there was anything to setting the alarm, "nope just press the button to lock/unlock"

all sounds nice and easy, however sometimes when i lock the car i get beeps, sometimes i dont. the indicators always do the required flashes though.

can anyone clear this up?

Have this on my 1.2. Tends to beep for me when I press it too soon after closing a door. A slight pause eliminates the beeps for me!

2 flashes - armed, 1 flash - unarmed.

Also get beeps or even alarm if you open the door to quickly after unlocking it.

i used to press to lock mine straight after closing the door and get the annoying "BEEP BEEP BEEP" now I get out the car, walk to my front door and lock it. No beeping!

Same as unlocking it...but in reverse if you see what I mean. You just gotta give it a few seconds to set and unset is all!

the alarms are a bit slow. you have to give them a few secs to disarm after pressing your plip before you open the door otherwise it triggers.

Kinda off topic but thought Id post it anyway...the amount of times I have armed the alarm with my missus in the car whilst i pop into a shop!!!

The brain dead bint sits there dead still to try not to set it off lol! I come back ten mins later and she looks like a f**king statue but with a face like this lol

Hooray so its not just me then! Ive managed to trigger the alarm a couple of times when opening it too quickly - usually when the cars in the garage and my wifes in bed above - damn its loud!
