Shhh
Earlier in the year, the AA were called by me to my car as i could not close the bonnet.
On the 182 the air had gotten inside the bonnet catch, and dried it out so it was stuck in the open position. Being the way its designed, its open to the air from driving with no protection from behind.
I managed to drive the car home, and elected to ring the AA Renault Assistance on the afternoon of a Saturday as i needed the car. The AA man came and force-fully removed the catch from the bonnet slam panel by means of bending the plastic thing out the way.. No bother i guess as renault will repair anything that gets damaged etc as i need my car.
So, he puts the catch back onto the car and cant get the bonnet now to close as its out of alignment.. so he presses and presses on the car bonnet trying to press it shut..
He eventually gets it into a position where it closes easily without forcing the bonnet shut....Great..
Later on, i notice the bonnet has a dent right above the slam panel. Probably the product of being pressed on hard trying to close the bonnet..
Initial thought was oh well, ill pay for the work myself, but the dent cant be removed easily as you cant get to the back of it...
Now, the work was maybe 12 weeks ago..and ive recently found out it will cost more than expected to have repaired.
How would you approach the AA about this..?
