182 - Annoying buzzing sound - engine

Only started a few days ago and located it to under the bonnet .......

Is this the air flow meter ?????

Basically when you turn the ignition on (2nd turn when lights come on) it starts, but it vibrates under the dash! Very, very annoying!

Im assumming this is a trip to reno????

no its the fuel pump pressurising the system

well on the mk1 172 thats where the throttle cable goes so I presume on the mk2 that its the stepper motor for the fly by wire throttle

You can even hear this inside the car now with the engine running! Can anyone else give me a bit more info as it will be going into reno and i dont want fobbing off with by design bulls**t.

The noise is not a low pitched buzzing noise but a high pitched one when you life the bonnet.

I do lots of mileage so i really dont want it breaking down on me (as you will know reno never have the bloody parts in either!)

A tentioner belt maybe? Had to have one replaced on my 172 when it was newish

Its definitely coming from the circled part on the image (fuel pump??)
