182 cambelt and standard service, Gatwick area

Hi guys,

Im looking at getting a 172/182 very soon but have noticed alot of them havent had there cam belts changed yet so just looking to price up how much a cam belt change would be, including all the tensioners etc. Also how much would a normal service be on top of this or can i do it myself? ive done oil changes etc in the past.

Ideally in or around the gatwick area?

I know there not exactly local to Gatwick area, but its worth travelling for the cheaper than main dealer price and K-tec, Rsport and Ren-tech are all well regarded specialists

Not going to drive 5 hours each way just for cambelt.

It's a rough guide on what he's going to pay though isn't it, most places will be similar.

Seems so expensive for a cambelt service but it is what it is i suppose.

On that price list it has cam service and cam service with cam seals? would i need to get the cam seals done as well or is it not essential?

The seals should be done too.

they should be done as part of the job (gearbox end) so they shouldn't charge extra for it
