182 cat onto 172 downpipe

How hard is it to make this fit? MOT is due now and dont fancy changing my de-cat pipe for the standard 172 cat as its a mare to fit. Obviously I would need to get my standard mid pipe modifed to allow the cat to fit but just wondered how much work it would be and what exactly needs doing.
