182 Centre Section

At the Minute I've got a Scorpion Decat, Std Centre Section and Magnex Backboxes, It's a Long Story

Just wondering if most Aftermarket Centre Sections are the same? I.e. Would a Miltek Centre Section fit nicely onto my Magnex Backboxes?? Magnex just slip onto each other.

I'm hoping the answer will be Yes and that someone on here has an Unwanted Centre Section if they have followed Christopher's lead in having a Custom Straight through Pipe made up (Let me know if you have )

Also if People have used say Powerflow etc. to make them a Custom Centre Section how much did it cost??

Well that's why I'm thinking Powerflow as I'm sue they could whip up a Centre Section quite easily and for not too much wedge and I'd probably not bother with asilencer if I was going to do that

I had my silencer put back in as it was too loud, the pipe is about £50 retail and silencer is about £60. I got mine done for £70.

does the standard centre section really silence it that much? Might get a decat and replacement centre pipe (supersprint?) with standard back box

yep. it makes all the difference. I had a cat back exhaust done by powerflow, they used the biggest rear box they had. It was stupid loud, (and I do know loud as I used to have a megane coupe with a F7R engine with no cat and no baffles! that lasted a week) so I asked them to put in a centre section which made all the difference, when it was at idle it was not so noticeable down a motorway at 70-90 was perfect, before it just made noise. I do miss driving through tunnels with my windows down but I prefer pulling up outside peoples houses without waking up her parents

Sorry to hijack this. My centre section is rattling - is it a good idea to replace the centre section with a straight through pipe with the standard factory rear section.. just wondering about how it would sound and also if there would be any fitting issues. any help appreciated

Powerflow, Prospeed and the likes would be able to make you up a Centre Section quite easily, Std Bore is 2" I believe and straight through with a Decat it would still give a nice Raspy Sound even with the Std Backboxes

Great will look into it. I saw on another thread that Supersprint sell a straight through pipe (pic on website www.supersprint.it) so may get this and a decat. I wonder if it would affect power keeping the standard rear box (to be replaced in the near future anyway)
