182! Clutch height?

  vx220
Had the car now about 10 months and always felt that the bite point on the clutch pedal was fairly high. I've just taken a co worker out with me in the car for him to give his opinion. He mentioned the fact the the clutch pedal seems to be really high in comparison to the brake pedal. Is this true with the rest of you guys who have the 182?

Cheers bad! But the actual height of the pedal itself in rather high in comparison to the other pedals aswell!

think they are fairly high anyway, but the pedals should be level, back to the clutch i hate it tbh especially when stuck in traffic, setting off etc.

All my pedals are at different heights the clutch sits the highest then the brake pedal etc I dont think there is a problem mate thinks its normal
Rob.

Not sure about the height but its quite a harsh clutch, I think my left leg is 200% stronger then my right after owning the 182 for a year..

ok cheers guys! settled my mind abit! Thought i was going to have to let the monkeys at renault have a look at it, but if its common renault feature then i'll leave it.

definately meant to be like that - I had a clicking noise on mine for months, it went in to Renault and had the clutch pedal assembly rebuilt a few times and it always came back higher than the brake pedal - as it tunred out it was a complete waste of time taking the assembly apart as it turned out to be the metal pedal wasnt tight and was clicking whenever i pressed the pedal - the riverts were removed - new ones inserted and the problem was solved. Oh well at least they got there in the end!

The high clutch pedal is what makes the driving position so difficult, you have to sit so far back to be comfortable with it you're too far from the wheel and gearstick. It's a design fault. They could have made the clutch travel a bit shorter and a bit heavier for me.

This is the same in all the clios my 1.2 clutch is high as well and to get it in gear i barely have to touch it. And yeah my biting point is rather high as well but that changes from car to car no 2 clutches are ever exactly alike so cant really say much with the biting point.
