182 cup/172 cup- are Rear shocks the same??

Will 182 cup shocks fit a 172 cup? Need rear shocks and been asked if i want some almost new 182 cup shocks but need to no if they will fit

They will fit but dampening ratios are different, nothing to worry about if your just running round though

Cheers dan. Just been on to K-tech and they said the same except they wouldn't fit as the rears are 172 cup only, cheers for replying

I've had 182 cup dampers on the back of my 172 for 5 years.

I'd just get the 172 ones the 182 cup ones are diffrent the 172/172 cup rear shocks are the same

People fit all sorts of sh1tty coilovers and suspension to there cars, so a slightly different shock is not going to be detrimental to your cars handling.
