182 Cup - nearly...

Havent been on the forum for a few days so was expecting the flood of 182 threads (following the Evo review)...makes for some very entertaining reading ;)

What I picked up from the article (think it was the Evo one...may have been somewhere else) was that there were probably plans originally to produce a pukka 182 Cup...so to test the water. they started offering, at the end of its production run, the 172 Cup with climate control...to see what was important to customers...low weight and focus...or environment/gadgets. It seems that the majority of the last Cups ordered/made had CC fitted...hence Renaults interpretation that a stripped out cup is not required when the 182 is released (but they could rake in an extra £200 from all those Cup wanabees for the suspension upgrade).

So, to all those that bought Cups with Climate Control, and the corresponding drop of the Cup proper from the range...thank you for what youve done to my residuals...:D

Just remembered I heard this on the Motors TV "MaxiTest" I think it was. They also said that with the suspension changes, the rear wheels were "very keen to follow the front"...thats not very good now is it :(...what happened to the joys of lift-off oversteer...?

Didnt quite look at it like that but yeah.....I see it now.

Rarity = higher residuals, and with no stripped out 182 Cup choose from.......

they have to pay me loads of money if they want mine...LOL
