182 cup packs or not?

So bought a 182 and sold the 172 cup as the 182 is on jenvey with gen90 ecu and loads of other toys fitted.

But.... Is it cup packed?
Can you tell from the Vin number?
I've read the cup packs are 20mm wider track at the front and 10mm at the back.
Is that wider than a normal 182 or than a 172? Is the 172 the same track as the cup packed 182??

I'm all confused

Ok so is there a spec sheet with how wide each car is on the track? Also am I right in thinking 60mm is cup setup and 54mm is standard 182/172 setup

Have you tried @RSTuning in Leeds for tuning the bodies?

Doubt it will be the bodies that need setting.up if it's running rich.

I thought the wider track on 172 Cup and 182 FF cars was due to the different offset wheels.

172, 182 & 172 Cup all have 54mm shock bolt spacing,182 FF have 60mm, if I understand correctly.

Also the bodies, yea I ment it needs to go on the dyno and also make sure they are all balanced.

Balance first, dead easy to do. If you want to do it yourself you can get a snail cheap on eBay.

A syncrometer? Yea was looking at one but wasn't sure what they should read on idle

Cup shocks are slightly stiffer and cup springs are a touch lower (although many take them out and run lowering springs anyway)

Ah ok so there is a proper difference. Right I'll measure bolt holes when I put new CL5 pads n brembo disks in. It's on gaz golds I think aswell so they are better than cup shocks
