182 Cup Rear Shock differences

  182, SQ7, Trafic
Does anybody know the difference between these and a standard 172 shock?

From looking it looks like these are the best to have as there isn't a separate 172/172 cup rear shock.

I'm guessing there were no rear beam changes and that 182 rear shocks happily fit a 172.

Oh really? Ha, I paid a £1 less each for 182 cup ones.

That means 182 cup shocks are the same as standard 172 shocks then? So there is really only one rear shock for 1*2s?

K-Tec appear to list the 172 and 172 Cup ones as being the same, and the 182 and 182 Cup ones as being the same (but different to 172 ones)...

So it looks like you just order shocks depending on whether you have a 172 or 182, regardless of whether you have Cup suspension or not? 172 or 182 are shown as different prices above too which would suggest different part numbers.

I dare say they are all interchangeable anyway, the front shocks are where the main differences are.

There offer price is what you'd pay at Renault, I just paid £37 for them.

Yes I know fronts are different, was told 182 ones are a bit stiffer so decided to go with those and some Cooksports, with 172 cup fronts.

182 rear shocks are a different unit due to higher compression as for the heavier rear box I suspect, because when I looking through my renault catalogue there's 3 different numbers.

Heavier exhaust maybe, but no spare wheel. (;

Meh, i challenge anyone to notice the difference between all variants available.

Yeah I suspose, I didn't think of that as I got a 182 with a spare ;) But yeah I cant really see anyone noticing tbh but then surely the 172 cup shocks would be different due to not having either?
